I think I am going to start a business-type with my sewing, and I'm trying to come up with a name for it. So far I've got 'Rebecca's Custom Sewing' which is... well... not too incredibly creative. Any ideas?

Yesterday, we went outside and played frisbee. WOOHOO!
goodbye winter!
It was awesome, but I'm ready for spring.
And I found a name for my violin. =) It's 'Amadare', the Japanese word for 'raindrops'.

I am slooooowly trying to get back into speech mode and work on my pieces for RMC, but I've hardly touched them since Centennial, and I haven't been able to practice them at all since I've been sick and with a sore throat and stuffy nose... it's incredibly difficult to breath, much less talk. =)

and I have stuff I need to do, so I'd better go.

The speech tourney was pretty awesome, Jeremiah and Wesley got second place in Team Policy debate!!!! And other awesome people got other awesome awards.
and I should have pictures of it up sometime in the near future.

And, I went to the Winter Jam last night! Woo! I'm not a huge fan of any of the bands, but it was my first concert and we were in the front row, so it was pretty awesome. And I was with the Simpich kids and Levi and Katrina Harris, so that made it even awesomer. So first, we sit outside for two and a half hours or so, in the freezing cold.... us girls were sitting under a blanket talking, so I was feeling pretty adventerous and such, and then about half an hour before the doors opened, they put the blankets back in the car and my hands went completely numb and I'm pretty sure they've never gotten that cold before. and My toes didn't de-numb until we'd been inside for probably two or three hours. haha. Anyway, it was probably worth it (though I wouldn't do it again without a ton more clothes on) and I got some awesome pictures.

Newsong, this was the only song of theirs that I really liked... the guy was playing cello, then he sang and then he played electric violin.

Barlow Girl. I'm not a huge fan, but the songs that they played were pretty good, and I like this picture.

so I pretty much decided that I like concerts, and that I really want to be the one on the stage singing.

I'm going to Mexico. FYI for all you people who want to know.

and... I'm getting ready for the tournament this week. I've made my speeches better (woo!) and am going to pretty much work on them non-stop for the next two days. and then I'll still be working on them non-stop except it will be for judges. w00t. I get to wear my amazingly cute brown suit that I made out of fabric that was used for *get ready for this* elf scarves at the Simpich doll shop! It's pretty much amazing. I think it's about the same level as Jesse's something-or-other in the clouds suit. =) And we have people staying with us, so that's going to be awesome.

I'm going to the orthodontist tomorrow morning. for the first time. ever. it's pretty exciting. =P

Paris, Mexico and.. well, summer.

I was accepted to go on the Paris missions trip with my church, which is crazy exciting. BUT... I was also thinking about going to Mexico with the Village Seven choir... one big thing is that Paris is $2750 and Mexico is $500, but also Mexico is over Nationals so if by some freaky chance I qualify... then that would pose a problem.
So I'm trying to figure out which one I should go on (if I should go at all!), and hear which one God wants me to go on... I don't even have enough money for the non-refundable deposit for Paris which is due in about a week, but I'm sure that God will provide if that's the one He want's me to go on.
So that's the latest development in my life.

Oh yeah, and I'm getting a new violin and I *love* it! I think I'm going to name it... Quigely. probably. still deciding on that one. My old violin is Friday. =P if you have any ideas, please share!
